National Cinema Day to Be Celebrated on September

National Cinema Day will be observed in India on September 16 where tickets will cost a mere amount of Rs 75. This pricing will be applicable on regular theatres as well as multiplex including the likes of Cinepolis, Asian, Carnival, M2K, INOX, PVR, Wave and further across the nation. This is an expression of gratefulness towards film audiences and a step taken to bring back the followership to cinemas after the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The official statement of MAI reads, “Cinemas come together to celebrate ‘National Cinema Day’ on 16th Sep, to offer movies for just Rs.75. #NationalCinemaDay2022 #16thSep”. They further tweeted “National Cinema Day will be held at more than 4000 participating screens and will include cinema screens of PVR, INOX, CINEPOLIS, CARNIVAL, MIRAJ, CITYPRIDE, ASIAN, MUKTA A2, MOVIE TIME, WAVE, M2K, DELITE and many others.”

However, what you must keep in mind is that the additional charges would be applicable to the ticket price if you are reserving it from a third-party website/platform such as BookMyShow and PayTM.
