Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away early on Monday, October 10. Earlier, Mulayam Singh Yadav was shifted to the ICU at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after his health deteriorated. The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister was battling for life and was in a critical condition for several days.

The news was confirmed by Yadav’s son and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. A post by the official handle of the Samajwadi Party read “my respected father and everyone’s Netaji is no more.”
On Sunday, October 9, Medanta Hospital put out a health bulletin stating that the veteran leader’s condition was quite critical and that he was on life-saving drugs. “Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav ji is quite critical today and on life saving drugs, he is being treated in the ICU of Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon by a comprehensive team of specialists” tweet the hospital in a health bulletin.

Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav ji is quite critical today and on life saving drugs, he is being treated in the ICU of Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon by a comprehensive team of specialists.
Mulayam Singh Yadav was under treatment since August 22 for his regular medical check-ups and examinations. Born on November 22, 1939, he was one of the prominent leaders of Uttar Pradesh. He had also served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice and in the Union Government as the Minister of Defence. He was elected 10 times as MLA and 7 times as Lok Sabha MP.
