Speaking of her humble beginnings, Dwivedi was born to a Punjabi family in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. She spent her childhood with her father, Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi, who was born in Rewari, hence Ragini’s close ties to Rewari, Haryana. The Kannada actress’s father, Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi, was an army general in the Indian Army, while their mother, Rohini, was a housewife. Not to mention that her grandfather Pare Lal Dwivedi was a railway guard in Rewari.

How she got her start in front of cameras:

In 2008, she was admired by fashion designer Prasad Bidapa and it was Prasad who introduced her to modeling. As a model, she has worked for Lakme Fashion Week, Sri Lanka Fashion Week, and several renowned fashion designers like Rohit Ball, Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, and Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

In addition to that, the future actress was brave enough to participate in the Femina Miss India pageant held in Hyderabad in December 2008, where she was announced as the first runner-up.

As a result, she gained direct entry to Pantaloons Femina Miss India in Mumbai in 2009, where she was crowned “Richfeel Femina Miss” after winning the Beautiful Hair Award”.

Ragini Dwivedi’s net worth as the highest paid Kannada actress:

As a highest paid Kannada actress born in India, Ragini Dwivedi’s estimated Net Worth is considered to be $1-5 Million per year. Let’s take a look at how Ragini Dwivedi amassed her wealth.

Career in the Kannada film industry:

Ragini Dwivedi acts in Indian films, but mostly in Kannada films. The Bangalore native entered the film world by acting in the film Veera Madakari released in 2009.

For her acting in Veera Madakari, Ragini Dwivedi won the Golden Film Award in the “Best Debut Actress” category for her performance in this film. She rose to fame by starring in successful Kannada language films such as Kempe Gaur (2011), Shiva (2012), Bangari (2013) and Ragini IPS (2014). Since then she has established herself as one of the leading actresses in the Kannada film industry.

Commercial success:

Since 2011, Dwivedi has been supporting various activities of Nandini Milk, a product of the Karnataka Milk Federation.

Besides another famous actress named Khushbu, Ragini Dwivedi is the solo Indian actress to have a fan club named exclusively after her. On this matter, the Bangalore native said, “Already I have several fan pages on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter in my name. I also interact with my followers there. But this registered and institutionalized fan page will help me more to have a direct conversation with my fans”.

In 2015, Dwivedi was named the spokesperson for the Times Asia Wedding Fair.

And during the same year she was honored at the India Leadership Conclave in Mumbai and awarded the “Most Promising Face of Indian Cinema”.

Ties to Sandalwood drug parties:

Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi was arrested in connection with drugs. Ragini was arrested on 4 September 2020 in connection with the sale of drugs. Earlier on November 2, the Karnataka High Court had rejected the bail pleas of Ragini Dwivedi and another actress Sanjana Galrani.

Her Sandalwood drugs case put her in jail for about 140 days but Ragini got bail from the Supreme Court. A bench of Justices RF Nariman, Justice Navin Sinha, and Justice KM Joseph set aside the November 3 order of the Karnataka High Court last year relating to the denial of bail to the actress and others in the case.

Earlier, a seven-member CCB team, including a woman police inspector, raided the actress’s residence in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil said the actress would be produced before a magistrate after medical examination for further police custody. A case has been registered against Ragini under the Narcotic Drugs and Narcotic Substances Act.

One thing to note is that this matter came to the fore in September when the NCB arrested a person who used to organize high-profile drug parties in Bangalore. Actress Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjana Galrani, and several other drug peddlers were also arrested in this case. All of this has us wondering how Ragini was rich enough to be supplying psychedelic drugs to rave parties and other events in Bengaluru and having links with an international racket.

It seems the wealthy actress has contacts with business tycoons. In addition, while investigating this racket, on August 21, the police caught some high profile drug peddlers, who also supply drugs to the Kannada film industry.
