Rohini Acharya, daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav and founder of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is being praised for donating her kidney to save her father’s life. Bihar’s former chief minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav has been fighting health issues for some time now and was advised to get a kidney transplant earlier this year.
Rohini Acharya, 40, decided to donate one of her kidneys to 74-year-old father, Lalu Prasad Yadav. Reports suggest that the transplant was successful and both father and daughter are now recovering. Rohini’s act of selflessness is winning hearts on social media and many from political and non-political background are applauding her.
BJP leader Giriraj Singh, one of Lalu Yadav’s fiercest criticssaid on twitter that Rohini had set an example with her gesture.
“Rohini Acharya is the ideal daughter. I’m proud of you. You have set an example for future generations” Giriraj Singh tweeted.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey also praised Rohini. “I don’t have a daughter. Today, after seeing Rohini Acharya, I want to fight with God for not blessing me with a daughter “he tweeted.
Misa Bharti, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder daughter, shared several pictures and videos last evening on Twitter post-surgery. Bihar’s deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, the younger sibling of Rohini and Misa also shared an update from the hospital.
Along with politicians, many common people are also praised her act.
Hours before the operation, Rohini shared a pre-surgery picture with his father on her social media handle. She wrote “Ready to rock and roll. Wish me a good luck.
