Best Phones Under Rs 2000

Mobiles phones have become an integral part of everyone’s everyday life. Different people have different expectations from their smart phones. Some want their phones to replace their DSLRs, some want that they should never require to charge their phones while others want their phones to replace their gaming PCs. These expectations may sound too much to you at this point of time but believe me within less than a time span of 15 years all this will be possible and much more. Just like fifteen years ago in 2006, anyone did not even imagined that mobile phones will become pocket encyclopaedias and that there will be no buttons on them, only screens. Well this article is not about the evolution of smart phones, what I wanted to convey was that different people are having different smart phone requirements.

The price label of Rs 20000 is a very competitive segment. Brands are trying serve their customers everything that they can just for the sake of competition. Earlier only super AMOLED screen was available in this price range but now you can even get 120 Hz refresh rate along with a Super AMOLED display. Cameras, be it front or rear are better than ever. If we talk about chipsets, you can see high end gaming chipsets like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series. The other more sought feature nowadays is the 5G connectivity in phones. It is understandable also considering that all the telecom companies in India except BSNL are already doing their 5G testing on a wide scale. The official 5G rollout can be expected anytime within the next two years. So people want their phones to be 5G ready for whenever it comes out. There are many phones in the price segment of Rs 20000 that are offering 5G connectivity.  But we won’t be considering 5G as a criterion for comparison in this article, though some phones may be 5G in the list below. The reason being that if you tend to incline towards 5G then you would have to somewhere or the other, compromise on other aspects of the phone like camera, performance, screen or battery.

The minimum criteria for this comparison are as follows: The screen should be either Super AMOLED or with a fast refresh rate (either 60 Hz, 90 Hz or 120Hz) or both for a smooth scrolling experience. The screen should also be Full HD+ and the size should not be less than 6.4 inches. Fast charging is aso preference as no one loves to run towards the charging point 3 times a day and battery should also be a minimum of 4300 mAH. RAM should be minimum 6GB so that the device should never stutter or lag and internal should be a minimum of 128 GB. Camera should be a triple or a quad camera setup with minimum 48 MP + 64 MP main shooter. The list is going to be a count down so the best phone according to me is going to be at the last position.
