PM Narendra Modi Celebrates Deepawali with Soldiers in Kargil

In keeping up with his custom and tradition to celebrate Diwali with the jawans, Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed up in Kargil on Diwali morning. During last year’s Diwali, he spent his day with the troops at the border posts in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri. In 2020, the Prime Minister celebrated Diwali with Indian Army soldiers in Jaisalmer and said the festival is complete only after he meets the jawans.

Taking over the office since 2014, the Prime Minister has been celebrating Diwali by shelling out time with the soldiers in the areas in states like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir.

On Monday, PM Modi sent wishes to everyone on Diwali. He took to his official handle to send his wishes. He wrote “Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali. Diwali is associated with brightness and radiance. May this auspicious festival further the spirit of joy and well-being in our lives. I hope you have a wonderful Diwali with family and friends.”
